I've been twice this year so far., and heading back in October. Where in Cuba will you be staying?
The situation is GREAT, always. Papaya's, bananas, tons of melons... Sweet apples, and LOADS of fresh coco/coco juice. I knock down like 5-8 coco's (juice) per day. Pure Paradise :)
I'm super jelly. I can't wait until I am able to travel to tropical regions.
We will be staying in Havana to start with, then not sure. Do you have any recommendations?
Havana will be very chill :)
Do you know any Cubans or is this your first time there?
Are you going for personal pleasure vacation or work related?
If you plan on staying in an all inclusive hotel, by no means go anywhere that is rated under 4 star. There's lots of cheap places, it won't be hard to find a great spot.
Get ready for some amazing coconuts, white sands and baby blue water beaches!
IMO, Cuba OWNS both Mexico & the Dominican Republic, for a go to destination ;)
First time there, don't know anyone. My mom turns 60, so she's taking my sister and me to Cuba. Pure vacation :)
I was thinking about maybe trying the casa particular option. Seems more interesting than hotels. Have you tried any?
Wicked! happy 60th b-day to your mom in advance! Humm....Since it's your first time, i'd say stick with a 4+ star hotel. Yes, I've done "casa particulares" or private homestays as we call them. They're a great option (if you enjoy Cuba & the people). Something to think about if you decide to go back.
In any case you'll have a blast there, guaranteed. Keep me posted :)
