Here's my two cents. I tried going straight raw vegan, and I kept craving cooked food. I would deny myself, and then I would eat anything and everything including non-vegan. Personally, I recommend cutting your losses short and just eating cooked vegan, that way you don't binge on non-vegan.
Of course, I don't know you that well so take my advice with a grain of pink salt.
"I think it is also partly because I bring in grapes for lunch most days and I am starting to get sick of them?"
Don't eat the same thing every day lol. That's a sure way to get fail. Add some other raw fruit. Try other kinds of grapes. I like the cotton candy grapes.
Hey! Are you getting enough calories for lunch eating grapes? That may be one reason why you are not satsfied at lunch. I've found it difficult to fill up on grapes. You need to eat a LOT of them and something about them just doesn't fill me up like mangos, bananas and dates.
I'm craving cooked food a lot more now too. I also think it has to do with it being cold and wintery now. My body just wants warm starches at night. I just don't care anymore. It's not fun to beat myself up everyday and feel crazy because I can't bare to eat salads every night for dinner. Let's just love ourselves more and make it through the winter happy!
make sure you are eating enough calories. track it on cronometer.com and make sure you are getting AT LEAST 3,000 calories a day, more if you are engaging in physically or mentally taxing activities.
Mix up the foods you eat. eat bananas, oranges, dates, and other fruits that are cheap and easy to get right now.
If you REALLY want to stay raw, then whenever you crave cooked food, just eat more fruit and the craving will go away. If you don't mind going off the Raw Till 4 thing a little bit, then just eat some low-fat, low-salt vegan cooked food whenever you get a craving.
