I was told that the problem with garlic was its effect as an anti-oxidant. It kills the good bacteria in your stomach as well as the bad. However, I have also heard before that cooking or roasting garlic reduces or removes the effect. I would also like to hear more on this.
In Freelee's video I saw her use a small amount of onion to make her soup. It appeared to be red onion, but someone else told me that it was scallion. I also need an answer for this.
Still, Freelee and Duriander say that we do not need to be purists. Personally, I have stopped eating nuts, almonds, pecans and walnuts. I had large unopened bags of nuts that I gave to the food bank as well as stimulants like coffee, tabasco, and cayenne pepper. But I am used to it now, like eating salad without salt or dressing.
I found that I have developed a taste for mangoes which I never cared for in my life. Today I consumed 8 mangoes for breakfast with six peaches. For lunch I had two pounds of strawberries. I am stuffed.
Thanks for reply.
I think is red onion. Need confirmation.
read these "whys" and decide for yourself.
From this link I got information why raw garlic and onions are bad :D. Since that day i stoped to eat them raw.
Your call. But cooking does not improve their properties.
Some plants can be used more like medication because they are so strong. And with medication its not always eat till full. For example garlic is very strong herb and i dont believe that eating it daily is very good thing to do. But if it happens to be in food not like im going to run and hide.
Onions and garlic go in the condiment category.
It's fine to use some if they sit well with you and help you eat more carbs.
