I just wanted to post a question and get some opinion/personal experiences/ solid science haha on this.
Basically I'm a RT4 gal nowaday and i love what starches have been doing for me lately ( low budget, most stable taste wise, too many poor quality fruit in the north america now) and most of all i do feel fuller quicker.... BUT.....since embarking on this journey i've always rated starches as second and now that it's becoming the bulk of my diet ( sometimes i eat it for lunch and dinner) i've noticed that in the morning i wake up with a stuffed nose... like i'm sick... after the morning shower it goes away naturally but still throughout the day i will be pickin my nose ( not in public jeez) hHAAHAAH but seriously - even i get crusties in my eyes....
THAT Never happens or happens to a tenth of the degree when i'm RAW.
OBVS, its telling me something but I'm worried that this foods might actually slow my healing tremendously. All i want to do is get my metabolism back on track with calories...
I drink about 3L of water a day. sleep is fine 8-10 hours
WHAT I EAT:
bananas, melons, peaches, berries, plums, dates, apples, greens, avos, some occasional citrus not too much. zucchinis, rice, whole wheat/corn pasta, white potatoes and buckwheat. occasional processed pita bread/ vegan burritos and sushi, pasta ssouseeee.
HOW MUCH: yesterday i had 4k, i don't count since i've been on this lifestyle for 8 months but i average 3500. SOLID GAINS FOR DAYS.
How can I detox on this diet if it's making my body produce mucus :(
rice, whole wheat/corn pasta, buckwheat. pita bread - vegan burritos - sushi, pasta sauce due thickeners will all produce a allergic reaction in your immune system which purposely excrete mucus to get rid of the toxins especially if your eating these things in higher quantities compared to fresh organic fruits, veggies.
mucus is a immune response.
It's true. For the ultimate results, choose 100% HCRV. Anything else is a compromise. Sometimes a necessary one, for any number of reasons, and folks do range in symptoms from mild to significant, but that's a choice we all get to make.
I'm experiencing mucus, too! In my throat, though. It's continuous and usually present in the mornings! I don't know if it has to do with the fact that there's something in the air of my (now ex-) workplace that my body is interpreting as a toxin (my guess is mold), so it's hard to tell if it's my diet or the toxin causing the mucus. Someday, we'll both afford Freelee and Harley-priced sustenance, so that we can FULLY detox. Someday :D
The best thing for you to do is try mono meals for a week, on each of your cooked foods for instance week 1 just eat potatos you can then see which one is causing the mucus, but it could also be one of the fruits or veggies causing it too especially if they are not organic! I wash all of my fruit and veg even the organic, it picks up all kind of nasties from feild to plate
Yes, starches especially are the most mucus forming foods.
Check out the "mucusless diet healing system" by Arnold Ehret. Mucus = sickness.
Starches are like glue, potatoes and other starchy foods were used as glue actually...
That's why I don't understand this whole cooked starches thing on 30bad, it's not healthy.
mucus, white blood cells rushing to save you in an auto immune response to surround the mutagens and carcinogens formed in heating
i wouldn't eat cooked food if you paid me i've experimented with that from 2002 - 2010. no thanks
if you over eat you delay detox.
