Yeah I totally agree, his fitness classes are really fun.
I just kind of want to know more about exactly what you get out of the consult because it's quite the investment.
"The average price for this program starts at $300, however the actual fee must be determined by Dr. Graham based on the specifics of your situation."
I have not done one myself but over the years I have heard only good things from those who have done a consult with him.
I have done 1 month coaching after 1 initial consult. For me, it was not worth the money (£2000), as it did not tell me anything I had not already gleaned from his books, the vegsource forum, and here.
It did however show me the value of "islanding", as he insisted I did banana island for 2 weeks, despite my protestations that I detest bananas. I was allowed to have celery after several pleas, which made the fruit tolerable. Even in this short space of time, I experienced healing of minor symptoms; and this was after being 90-95% raw over the 2 years' previous.
It really is all, 100%, in The 80/10/10 Diet. You need no more unless you want help with a specific problem which is not being addressed already by a raw diet. As regards simply keeping on track, motivation and inspiration, I personally find this site plus Dr G's books are the answer.
Thanks for your response Kate, that was really helpful.
I was afraid that might be the case- I might not get more out of it than what is available through his book and online resources.
ps. My main concern is dental and would love to discuss that with an 811 educated professional, but don't know who else I would go to. Any suggestions?
Fred Patenaude has written an entire book about dental issues relating to raw vegan diet. I myself have not read it but thought you may want to look into it.
Thanks for the suggestion. I have read some of Fred's blog posts & listened to some of his videos pertaining to dental health and found them helpful. I've adopted all the healthy habits I've heard him recommend, but still have questions. I will look into his book though, I wasn't aware he had one on the topic.
