right on dude, you're on the right path :)
Trust your gut. Maybe learn a trade.
I did a year and it took me many years to pay off the loans and the education I got didnt really do anything for me. I managed to do well in the field I am in no thanks to college and now I hate the field I'm in and want to do something else.
I'd say unless you have a total passion about something that absolutly requires a college degree and your not afraid of the costs go for it. But from my point of view most of the degrees folks get are not worth the debt they incur in doing so. I knwo a lot of folks with 30 40k in student loan debt making 8 bucks an hour. Oh yes they have degrees and are educated. Others have that kind of debt and make 40 or 50k still not enough. I know someone who has a masters degree in law almost 200k in debt from law schools etc.. Got diagnosed bi-polar and can barely hold down any job.
You never know where life will take you and you cannot always bank on a college degree.
If someone else was going to foot the bill tho I'd consider going to med school or something. But I cant justify that sort of debt for it.
