Hi all. Does anyone else get cold when eating 100% raw? I don't know how to combat this. Even in the middle of the summer, I would feel so cold inside. I keep trying to follow this lifestyle, but with the cooler weather upon us, and winter on the way, I was wondering how all of you keep from getting too cold.
Calorie wise? Between 2000-2500 daily.
do you eats dates? they seem warm me up fast.
I do! I love love love dates!
::raises hand:: it could be 80 degrees an di got the chills!! i'm always cold!! and i'll eat 4-5000 calories. I'm always cold! part of the problem is cold smoothies. I do think part of the problem is running. I went easy on running one day and noticed i felt a little warmer.
I dunno the answer to this one yeah drinking hot tea or hot water helps but theres like no solution. I think if i ate SAD tho i'd be cold as well with the running i do. I cant really blame this way of eating but if i drink a 72 ounce smoothie that certainly isnt going to help matters. I'm generally freezing half to death after breakfast and have to take a hot shower to warm up.
when I have cold smoothies, I am so freakin cold after.
From my experience just straight up raw food keeps me feeling at a neutral temperature. Eating cooked food makes me feel warm and eating frozen food makes me feel cold.
Are you making shakes out of frozen bananas or something? Because under those circumstances I feel cold too.
yeah i huck ice in i can skip the ice but even then that volume of liquid cools me right down. I'm also just cold to begine with it seems raw just makes it worse. if i power in dates i'm more nuetral but still cold I htink im just cold to begin
I'm going to try a few days with skipping the ice code smoothie and have it more room temp. I don't feel any different when I'm eating dates.
I am. I love making shakes using frozen bananas. Perhaps I'll try to have more of my food at room temp. But the cold smoothies are so friggin' good!
I did at first when I started eating raw, partially from losing weight, partially from not eating enough. They after a few months I upped the calories and put on some weight and felt warm. Now my weight is starting to balance out and I am a more balanced temperature. It may just take a while for your body to get used to changes.
