I have an issue that I didn't think was too big or a deal but the more I think on it, it bothers me because it is technique not HCRV. I LOVE COFFEE! I have cut down on it drastically but can't (and kind of don't want to) give it up entirely. I went from drinking an average of a pot a day to about half a mug's worth which is roughly 6 oz. Is this such a huge deal?
But aren't there positives to it in moderation as well?
I had to hyper carb up so my desire for it ended for me it was a daily 10 banana smoothie
please eat tons of fruit before you think about drinking coffee
I'm not sure that my issue is so much a dependence on the coffee as much as I enjoy the taste of coffee.
i used to believe that too
it ain't taste its the drug
try giving it up you will know its a drug
Thank you. I really do appreciate the advice :)
yea quitting , very important , it's the most addictive drug we got (other than raw crackow) no results with it i imagine. it's so acidic and i don't want 1 drop of acidic food in me i could feel it.
But there are plenty of fruits and veggies that are just as if not more acidic. I think my dilemma is more of the fact I enjoy the taste of coffee.
you wont miss it once your body adapts. I recently started taken some caffine cause i'm getting like no sleep at night with a new baby. I cant wait to get back off it in my case yeah its getting me through this rough spot but thats not without the adverse affects.
but once you body adapts after a week or 2 if that of no coffee you'll feel just fine least you've cut back thats a big first step to giving it up for good.
first time i quit i was a pot a day person and i quit cold turkey I paid a hefty price for that!
Thank you for the advice. Also, Congrats and good luck to you with your new baby :)
I really think it's the taste for me honestly. Not so much caffeine because I really didn't drink pop or anything like that, just coffee really.
half a mug worth becomes much less of an issue.
I say be aware of the cost/benefit.
Over-Training, if you want to push yourself to the limits, without stimulants you can do more. However maybe if you are doing too little a bit of caffeine isn't so bad.
hand injuries... if your doing a activity intensive on the hands like writing, playing the piano, using a chainsaw then caffeine is a fast ticket to arthritis/carpal tunnel syndrome.
Sleeping less... Are you overworked... caffeine is going to cut into your sleep.
Withdrawal will last up to a month if you were drinking a pot a day... so your best bet is probably to ease out of it with a bit of caffeine.
