30 Bananas a Day!

I've been making a lot of curry dinners that contains coconut milk. Sometimes I get the light kind and sometimes not. I usually do like a veggy curry and drop it over a huge heaping of rice. I wanted to know if I should stay away from coconut milk?

It really depends on who you ask. Freelee and Harley probably say "once a year" some others would argue its fine, coconut is its own kind of saturated fat thats actually encouraged. I feel amazing eating young thai coconut (lower fat coconut)

I can tell you I was eating Pumpkin and Green Curries once-twice a week from a vegan restaurant that hardly used oil...that was the fastest I ever gained weight in 2 months! When I watched how much I was eating from there I lost weight. I know Freelee and Harley show them eating Thai food all the time, it used to be every video, but Freelee says elsewhere to just avoid it the first year, and dont eat out too often.

Anywayy....I've tolerated the thai curries maybe once every 10 days by dividing it into two portions and saving half for the next day. While fruit rice and greens are all you can eat, I'd say be mindful of coconut milk and see how much you can tolerate and still feel good.

It's healthy but high in fat, so if you subscribe to the 80/10/10 ratio you'll need to limit it. It usually contains additives to prevent separation, such as guar gum, which aren't ideal. My impression is that the 'light' milk is essentially just diluted 'standard' milk, so you might save money just diluting it yourself to taste. You can make your own by blending warm water and coconut flesh/butter/flakes then straining. Plenty of pacific cultures eat diets very high in coconut products and stay slim and healthy.

Thanks for the feedback! I think I will stick to adding curry spices but remove the coconut milk from my recipes.
