My cat peed on my banana box and some got on like 40 of the bananas. I rinsed all the affected ones off in the sink. Anyone had a similar experience? Are they still salvagable. Does cat pee absorb into bananas, they were probably covered in cat pee for like a day or two before I opened the box. Should I eat them?
I once had a friend that loved the smell of cat piss... Can you say improvement? They might not be vegan any more but I'd still eat them. In all seriousness I'm sure the bananas didn't let anything bad in through the skin, into the flesh.
i would still eat them, but i would make sure to lick the outside of the peel first.
I say rinse the peels then rinse your hands to get any urine off your hands and then peel and enjoy :-)
ok cool thanks guys. yea they dried out and I dont smell the pee on them anymore. I think i'm straight.
If they don't smell you're probably good because cat pee smell doesn't go away very easily if there is any still around.
Ha! Cats are agents from the dark side I think:-D
This might depend on the cat. If your cat is healthy, has no open wounds, kidney, or bladder issues, then most probably his urine is sterile and you have nothing to worry about at least in regards to bacteria or viruses. The beauty of living with healthy feline companions is that it is very rare for them to contract human diseases and or for us to contract cat diseases.
However, cat urine does contain some ammonia which could be irritating to skin. It is recommended to just wash bananas and or your skin with soapy and water to avoid potential irritation.
eat them. IT's protein!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOL only on 30bad
Don't do it unless you want brain parasites.
I double dog dare you to!
