30 Bananas a Day!

ive been raw for around 4 months now, and i normally eat 2200 to 2500 cals but recently i feel INSANELY HUNGRY and feel like i just need to stuff my face with as much high calorie fruit as physically possible and even when im full i keep eating and feel like i seriously cant stop. its so weird, like i dont crave any cooked foods or anything i just feel like i need to eat as many dates as possible at like all times. im not particularly active, i do 30-45 min workout on the app Sworkit 5 times a week and im 5ft2 and around 98lbs. does anyone else ever feeel like this? its been happening for like 2 weeks and im starting to feel out of control! im also wondering if ill gain a ton of weight from doing this?

Weight gain depends on your overall health and past health history, just wait and see.  if you want to eat then eat.

2500 is the bare minimum for ladies for both energy needs and for nutritional needs.  With your work out you would almost certainly need another 500 at least.  What else do you do during the day?

Why 2500/3000 Calories A Day?

A.  How do i know im not eating enough calories from fruit?

1. Other food starts to look and smell good.

2. Cooked food looks more then the second rate option it really is.
3. Your energy, power, strength start to go downhill.
4. Your attitude starts to suck. You just want to rip apart people and scream at them with frustration.
5. You start to question this whole raw gig.
6. You get cravings during the day and evening.
7. You start to rely on discipline to keep you raw.
8. You start to make raw pasta dishes, raw cakes etc.
9. You start to question if we really need to exercise.
10. Your so thin and weak that your athletic friends start to get concerned.
11. You start to question veganism.
12. You start blending maccadamias with dulse and spread it on 1inch thick flax crackers you made at 3am in the morning.
13. You wake up at night and steal your housemates fruit. If your housemate is called banana guns and he told you not to eat the papaya, and you did, you aint eating enough fruit cals.
14. You start to want to take fancy herbs and experiement with other diets.
15. Your actually eating pizza and reading this.
16. Youve got some Fred Bisci Enzymes in your pocket and your ready to try the 'all raw but 20% cooked rule'
17. You want to believe that Brian Clement is right when he says corn chips are better than fruit. 
18. You just paid aajonus vonderplanitz 400$ for a one hour consult and he told you to put an egg on a window edge for 50 days until its putrid and then to eat it. and you did it. you saw your dog eat some animal poo and you tried it too. ( true story i just heard).
19. You just cant sleep!! you are approaching insomniac.


not much, i walk inbetween classes but i havent been walking home from school since its so cold out. i never crave anything else besides just like dense fruit so thats why this seems so weird to me

so you mean you are in school all day?  that is a lot of activity.  Ya I would have 3000 as my minimum if I were you.  You are craving so this means you need to eat more.  Good you are craving fruits! :D

thanks, and ill try upping it to 3000 but whenever i try and eat so much i just feel so gross, but im sure ill get used to it and itll start to feel better.

How much greens are you getting in? Sometimes that could be the problem where you're eating more for the nutrients you're lacking.

i eat like a pretty hefty bowl for dinner and i try and have at least a few leaves with either bfast or lunch. 

Well then I'd say if your body is craving more calories, liisten to it and feed yourself more. I have days where I'm more hungry than I realized and if I'm still hungry after a meal, I'll eat some more. I don't think you'll gain a ton of weight and this insatiable hunger will go away sooner or later. Just up your calories and see how everything goes.

thanks, but i usually just listen to my body and keep eating more and more but its like it never goes away... its hard to explain but its like no matter how much i eat and how incredibly full i am, i just like have this feeling that i want to eat more food when really i dont.

30BaD does not recommend just listening to your body, this usually results in under eating which you are doing.  Feeling full just means your stomach is full, you can feel full on just lettuce.  It is recommended to look at all aspects of health and be objective if you want to be successful.  Track your intake, notice your mood, sleep, energy and cravings.  There are members who have gone as long as 6 months under eating thinking they were doing fine until their hair started to fall out and they hit a wall with adrenal fatigue.   You can only run on your adrenals for so long.

oh my, that sounds kinda scary... i know ive been eating 2500 as a min lately (like past 2 weeks) but i def will add more because i dont want that to happen

Sounds to me like you are not eating enough to support your lifestyle. Recheck how much you truly eat with chronometer.

How intense is your sworkit excercise? Im unfamiliar with it. Plus a background of caloric restriction can give this feeling. Stress, overall calorie burn through being active (even mildly active), kids, and jobs can really bring this. In my experience, no matter how much I eat, I don't really change much. My body does what it wants regardless of how much I feed it. Plus, being in the cold burns a WHOLE lot of calories just to stay warm. Don't underestimate the cold.

Overall, I wouldn't worry.
