Thats right. Fasting is not calorie restriction though. Neither is hibernation. Calorie restriction would be a mosquito just filling up a bit and flying off hungry vs filling up till its about to pop like they always do.
Calorie restriction would be a vulture just having a quick bite and then letting the other vultures eat all they care for.

i work with a bunch of women that are doing a 'fitness and diet challenge' at a local gym. the one woman was telling me that she feels rundown and really exhausted. so i asked her about her new diet and what she is taking in. it is 40-30-30 and about 1200-1500 calories. OMG. no wonder she is tired. i didn't want to invade but i suggested fruit post workout and maybe more food in a day.
my point, these are the people that don't really lose weight over the long haul and they struggle because they are denying themselves of goodness. i really feel bad for these women and i find it sad that trainers and so called nutritionists pass on this info to people as something good when it really isn't. so glad for peeps like DR to live by example. thanks bro.
