I have the most sensitive skin.
I used to have eczema on my arms but since I stopped dairy it went away.
When I was 13, I had ballet practice everyday for 1-2 hours a day and then I had school. I was super stressed and had some sort of rash above my lip that would crack and bleed. I have no idea how it went away, but I used all the prescribed creams from doctors. Maybe my stress levels went down and that is how it went away.
Now my lips get bumps and then they scab the next day when I have acid fruits especially pineapple. I get a rash around my lips with little bumps when I have mango. It doesn't matter if it is organic and super ripe.
My lips are alway chapped and hurt after I eat as of lately. Does anyone else have sensitive lips and/or skin?
It really sucks and I keep trying to just put up with it, but I need a solution. Hope someone can help because my lips are stinging and really hurt.
Oh! That happens to me with the mangoes, too. I get a scab-maybe from the acid burn.
They're my favorite, though ;(
Maybe you can blend it?
It's not as good as digging into it like a voracious dog but your mouth will thank you.
Not really. I just get a acid burn that resembles a beauty mark. It peels off after a few days. Looks like you have it worse than me. It sounds more like an allergy.
I also have sensitive skin; I turn all red when I'm in a heavily-aerosoled room.
How's citrus for you? For me I don't have a problem unless if my orange is unripe or sprayed.
I get red too and really hot when I am under pressure or in a situation where I am extremely embarrassed. I can't control it.
Oranges are never ripe here in utah. I usually just add one to a dressing or a "pasta" sauce, but that is rare. Usually I just eat more similar because to many combos seem to set everything off.
Being sensitive to so many things kinda sucks, but I think it is just where I live and the fruit that is available here. :(
One summer I went on watermelon island and got a terrible rash in my mouth, I think that I was having an allergic reaction to the melon. Now it only happens once in awhile. It resolved itself when I quit eating the melon. I keep trying watermelon now and mostly I have no problem with it. For some reason it seems the longer I do this lifestyle correctly the less problems I get from various fruits, and my tastes have changed. I use to hate cantalope and now I like it.
Hope your rash resolves itself Madelyn.
That is weird! Is the watermelon organic? Seedless? I can only seem to tolerate organic seeded watermelon which is pretty pricy but other then that I get really dry lips and my digestion doesn't work properly.
Thanks though, I hope it gets better too. :(
