Does anyone have experiences from Brunei?

Its known for being a "dictatorship" but maybe not quite so known for its free healthcare for all citizens, peaceful and safe envirement according to western people moving there, nice local people , minding its business as a country and mainly focusing on relationships with neighbour states, law against alcohol (a plus in my books) although tourists may bring in a certain amount of it. Also, it seems only their companys pay tax but not the citizens which is a rare combination with free healthcare as far as i know.

They also seem to have some nice fruit including some durian kinds and they have skateboard parks ;)

Im wondering if anyone visited there or lived there and what your impressions were of fruit and life in general.

And did you need permissions to enter and how hard was it to get?

"Oil rich" is a good clue to as why it can afford health care without taxing citizens.
6 generations of a single family rule, under "Sultans" might mean the ruling family actually cares for its citizens as "family".
400,000 is small for a nation, (or even an American city)

You can get all those questions and more answered on the Thorntree forum of "LonelyPlanet.com" website.
i know about the oil but there are probably lots of oilrich dictatorships that dont have free healthcare so i still find it interesting. :) there can be all kinds of motives off course from "social experiment" courtesy of mighty familys in the west to actual "care" among the bruneis.

thanks for the tip, looking at http://www.lonelyplanet.com/brunei-darussalam now but im member at way to many forums allready and spoiling time that should be spent in warm countries instead of sweden so im still hoping for some first hand fruitie responses here to be able to get out of here sooner. :)
zero tax is also very unusual among rich oil countries by the way. :)
