i kind need a brainstorming session here, opinions, studies, whatever you may know about the digestive tract.
The reason why i'am asking this is because for about almost a year now my lower abdomen is constantly distend, bloated whatever.
I've turned 811 in the beginning of this year and before that i was a weird vegetarian (i say weird because i still ate some fish) and my diet was pretty bad (but still, some years ago my belly was flat), i ate little calories a day i think...it was basically lots bread, cheese, eggs, oatmeal, onion, garlic and some spices. So with a high fat diet i started to feel like i needed a detox so in the beginning of this year i did the master cleanse....the salt water flush is something quite intense i must say....other than that the result was a super flat belly, that's when i actually realized that i wasn't a bit chubby i just had a bloated belly!
Now, i didn't jump straight to 811 because i started researching about other diets and the one that i bumped into was the raw vegan diet....so one o the first things i ate was a vegetable broth with miso paste....and i also tried oatmeal and raw soaked quinoa! not a good result everything got flushed out almost immediately after eating it, except for the quinoa it took about a week to get all the stuff out( i keep wondering if it healed and then i messed it up again)...after that i started going into 811 although by that time i looked like a pregnant woman, and in the beginning i remember having some lower abdominal pain, if i pressed the area i would feel a mass and a sharp pain(still happens sometimes) although it did got a bit better with fruit but still every time i eat or even drink! it bloats like crazy.
I have searched my symptoms on the internet and have found many posts of people complaining about the things, what i noticed is that these people all have different diets, different lifestyles, one of the things they had in common was that they all went to the doctor and nothing was found.
I've noticed that the less i eat the better but i don't like that idea! so either way right now i'm experimenting with a liquid diet, just drinking orange juice for a few day and see what happens.
That's a seriously long post, my apologies for that.
Thank you for reading :)
oh good to hear that. when you say clean you mean getting a colonic? I haven't tried probiotics yet are they easy to find?
Oh I've been reading your post we're basically on the same boat. This is my second day just drinking juice and yup the bloating comes to half.i think you are right though our digestive tracts do need to get stronger because i notice when i eat less fruit i'am less bloated this is hard for me to take in but it's the reality.
i also read about a condition called Gastroparesis that contrary to IBS eating a high fiber diet only makes it worse and so the treatment involves a liquid diet for a few days, i wonder if anyone here heard about it...
Although i'm strongly considering going for Steves advice

1. Dehydration. Lets ensure we are drinking enough water that our urine comes out clear. Everytime. Weigh yourself first thing and then after exercise and drink the deficit in water. ie: if you drop 3kg from exercise, drink 3 litres before you eat anything and if your dropping that much weight in a couple of hours, then you simply aint drinking enough and will lose motivation soon enough to keep being active. Go out and get some fat pants and or antidepressants, cos eventually youll need em if you keep dehydrating yourself.
oops, sorry, i didn't realize that forum rules prohibited that, i had seen the information on bloating but that wasn't helping....i dunno maybe if waited longer but still it was truly uncomfortable. Thanks for the info on colonics, it cleared some of my questions!
