Insulin is what transports sugar out of the bloodstream; it's a necessary part of the cycle.
At least that's my knowledge of the role of insulin.
Almost everything we eat gives an insulin response.
Insulin resistance is what we want to avoid and this happens on high fat, high protein diets.

I brought this to the McDougall camp... (actually it was DR's vid)....
They then started saying the "short spike" was damaging...etc... too high of insulin levels in the blood.
I am not sure of the test that measures that... but would it not be worse to have the pancreas turning out insulin over time... vs one short shot ?
