I have always had a bloated lower belly, even in my childhood. I am crossing my arms over my belly on a lot of childhood pictures, because it looked so extremely bloated in comparison to the rest of my body. I thought that 80/10/10 would cure this, but it didn't. I tried everything,... I only eat mono meals, don't eat any kind of high fat fruits like durian or avocado, no nuts, no cooked food... At first I thought it was the drier kinds of fruits like dates or bananas so I cut them out of my diet, no change. I started drinking a lot of fluids, more than 4 liter a day - no change. Went to bed early and stopped eating after 5pm, still I didn't wake up with a flat belly. Last week I experimented with eating less calories, about 1500, but that only had me craving food ALL the time. The only time I have a really flat belly is when I don't eat anything for 2 weeks (last achieved one and a half years ago when I was still struggling with an ED... 801010 cured that thankfully)
I have read the lower abdominal bloating post, and though it was very informational, it didn't really help with my problem.
Maybe I am being impatient, I am a raw high carb vegan since April... But did anyone deal with the same thing and can encourage me that one day the bloating will reduce or go away completely? :)
Thanks, I will try to incoporate some more strength training. I have been neglicting it since I started training for my half marathon next spring :)
Thanks for your reply DR! Though my posture is really good, people comment on my posture all the time, so it's not that. Even if my suck my belly all the way in, it still doesn't look flat like Freelee's does in the video, it is still round and pregnant looking. It doesn't hurt or anything, it is just hard like a rock... And no, I am not pregnant :)
Hey Nerada, just a wild shot in the dark, but are you on the pill? My girlfriend had similar symptoms until she stopped taking the pill and everything settled down.
I stopped taking the pill about 7 months ago. Didn't get my period ever since. My doctor says my hormones are all messed up because of taking the pill for so many years.
Now I have high hopes that when my hormones are back in order, my body will look a lot healthier, too! I am thinking that my acne issues are because of the hormones as well.
Thanks for your reply, Sam!
My pleasure :)
Although now you have said you are off the pill, haven't got your period, and have a rock hard stomach. lol congratulations =P
lol :P No, I am not pregnant :) Hubby and I are being extra careful, we really don't want kids right now.
Well hopefully your digestion sorts itself out soon :)
Actually my digestion works just fine, no problems there! :D Although all my friends are saying "don't all those bananas give you terrible constipation??" Nope, everything works just fine in that area :) And I used to be chronically constipated! Sometimes I can even go 3x a day! (sorry for tmi lol)
But yeah, I hope the other issue will sort itself out soon too :)
I have the same problem of NO period + acne + just diagnosed with oral allergy....did you manage to cure yourself yet or not following this lifestyle? I only managed to get rid of symptoms when I ate brown rice + little bit of fish ( no rash and got my period back healthy for about a year till I stopped eating that way)...back to square one now on this lifestyle...
running help my stomach go flat. especially after a lot of training for weeks or so
Thanks for replying!
I am running 5 - 7 times a week at the moment. Running regularly for at least 3 times a week since almost 2 years now.
