That's a good start.
Assuming you don't have kids tying you to your house or anything, you should really make sure you eliminate all salt from your diet so your body isn't all swollen up looking and throw in longer rides on the weekends. I ride 5-10 miles a day on the weekdays as a means of transportation, on the weekends depending on what is going on I ride from 50-125 miles.
What city do you live in? You have a bike computer already right? Go ahead and set a bigger goal. Its psychological more than anything else. If you have only ridden 10 miles here or there, riding your bike will seem like a gargantuan task. Once you have done some rides of 100 miles or more, or a few hundred miles, going 20 or 30 miles becomes a 2nd thought. I rode 220 miles from Houston to Austin a couple of months ago, in order to break out of my "programming".
Where are you at with this whole thing? What kind of bike do you ride?
I've recently started biking, only a month or so so far. I also play volleyball 5 days a week for 2 hours a day.
Im not sure what bike i ride ): It might be a mountain bike. I'm new to all of this, what kind of bike do you reccomend?
I'm in school so I don't know if I'll have a lot of time to ride 50-125 miles a weekend. Also I live in Louisville, Ky.
sounds like a doable and fun plan to me
make it fun and enjoyable and you do it forever : )
