30 Bananas a Day!

Hello,

I was diagnosed with the flu today and haven't felt this miserable in years. My appetite is not the best, but should I still try to carb the heck up to get better? I am almost desperate to take IB Profin, but at the same time I want my body to heal naturally.

I have read so much bad stuff about aspirin, ibuprofen etc., I would avoid it as it's not necessary. 

Vit. C is a great pain reliever!

Also herbals are very effective, I have a friend who fell 3 stories and had chronic pain for years after, she stopped all pharma pain killers and took mega doses of Gai herbs migra-profin instead.  I have tried it for various things and it works great.  Turmeric, skull cap, Valerian root are individual herbs for pain, they work great too.

Welch's grape juice no sugar added, flush your system with heavy water volumes and eat as many bananas as you can.

For acute medical problems like this I will take the medicine also.

I consider any drug as a plan Z, for use only in dire emergent.  There is no such thing as a side-effect free drug, and it's just one more thing with which your body will have to contend and do it's best to expel.  

Paul is partially correct that it is indeed just a bandaid.  

But let me ask you--are you interested in simply avoiding uncomfortable symptoms, or in true long term healing?  

We're not doctors here, and the final decision is up to you, but in the majority of cases it's wise to simply get out of your body's way and let it heal in it's own good time.  Sleep and rest like it's your job, hydrate amply, and eat simply and juicy if at all.  If you've not got an appetite, don't feel like you have to stuff anything in for a day or two.

I would take mega doses of vit. C and be good within a few hours!  I'd sleep or lay down with eyes closed and drink lots of water and the C until I felt better.  The best C is Lypo-spheric because it is 97% absorbed, plain ascorbic acid is more like 20% absorbed hence the loose stools when you are at max.  I would take 2000mg every hour of the ascorbic C or as much as you can tolerate before a loose stool.  Or get the Lypo C and take 1000mg every hour.

I think like this: If your body is telling you not to eat then you shouldn't eat. Your body knows what it's doing. The only thing eating will do is put stress on your digestive system meaning that the body won't have the time nor energy to focus on getting rid of the flue. If I were you I would listen to my body and act accordingly. Follow your instincts and don't think too much.

I would say definitely eat just as much as your body desires, it's natural for your appetite do be like that since your body needs to spend energy on beating the flu. When I have a cold or flu I love having lots of citrus and it makes me feel more relieved but that's just a preference :) Hope you feel better soon!

Thank you guys! Oddly enough, as crappy as I feel, I still have an appetite! It may be because I have bren restricting for so long, so my body is using this opportunity to catch up, which I see as somewhat of a blessing!
