So I just got my nice box of barhi dates from Bautista - I've never had this kind before so I am pretty excited!
Any advice on how to store these? I sampled a crunchy and a softer one, and I like the softer ones better so I want to let them ripen. Can I just leave them in the box they came in, unrefrigerated? I'm a little worried about ants, they tend to be abundant in our house. And all of my bowls are full of peaches right now =)
I received my first box of Barhi dates yesterday. After searching on this website for storage tips, I decided to leave them in the box, closed, on my kitchen counter and wait for them to ripen. Once they are ripe, I'm going to refrigerate the only I don't scarf down.
I haven't had any insect issues so far.
