You've seen Arnolds banana whip video I hope, as soon as I can afford it I'm getting one of those greenstars!! Just in time for summer ;)
I use a simple handblender to make creamy banana ice cream. It works really well. Buying an expensive greenstar is not necessary, IMO.

True that. I use my blender, too. Cost about 80 € three years ago, that's about 135 $.
Don't focus on machines and complications, simplify where you can, as long as quality doesn't suffer.
WOW J, that looks scrummy, I bought a hand juicer to do wheatgrass, after the first go I nearly ripped the top off the bench so I purchased an electric one, I daresay bananas would be easier ;)

I have used one and they are not very high powered
I use the food processor and it works great!
