Not sure about the math here....
I would think you would multiply the price by 2.2 since there are roughly 2.2 lbs per kilo.
So the price would be:
$1.08 - $1.38/kilo (conventional)
Just grabbed a case of Whole Foods "Earth" bananas. Sold as grown conventional, but grown organically. Usually they are 69 cents a pound. For the past week they have been 39 cents/pound! (18 cents/kilo)
Something told me that those conventional bananas tasted too organic to be grown conventionally! More info, please? :)
Earth > Organic Chiquitas
I pay $16 for 40 lbs conventional and $20 40lb organic :)
40lb = about 18 kg
$1/kilo organic banana
