You will get all kinds of opinions on this. My personal view is you don't only eat 1 item day in and day out on any other lifestyle program so why do it on this? Sounds like a recipe for failure. If your new to this way of eating (HCRV), then you are going to be challenged enough by trying to just stick with the basic idea. Think long term.
If you eat plenty of calories with a good variety of fruits and greens, you will be slim (and actually be challenged to put weight on). I see many people come to this lifestyle all fired up. They try to go extreme and quit soon after. The only successful way is to think long term
Good Luck and Best Wishes!
Thanks:) I have often done eating just fruit meals long term. In fact eight years ago when I became a vegan I got started by doing two weeks of just fruit. Of course it was a variety of different fruits, but it was very easy for me. Since then I have done the fruit thing often, but now I want to become completely low fat raw vegan.
I am interested in the mono-meals for the health benefits I'd heard about, not the weight loss. A friend wants to do the mono-meals, but doesn't want to lose weight. So that's why I asked about the weight loss.
Thanks so much for your input. I definitely see your point about this diet being challenging enough as it is.
