I'm a newbie also! And feel the same, any advice would be appreciated :)
Same here! If you don't mind KeeKee, I have a question too. I was watching Simply Vegan on youtube and saw that in the afternoon, as a snack he had jam sandwiches. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lOErfLR2o5Q (Skip to about 12:10) I was wondering whether this is okay as a source of calories? And if so then why not Shredded Wheat where the only ingredient is Wholegrain Wheat? Is that okay to add to a smoothie or whatever, as an additional source of Calories?
keep it simple :) focus on plantbased preferably organic wholefoods! ripe fruit, veggies, herbs, greens, some nuts/seeds ( almonds, sunflowerseeds, pumpkin seeds - either fresh when in season or always soaked before consumtion) some healthy fats such as avocados, and if you are transitioning or are not fully raw or just want something cooked - go for soaked, sprouted steamed quinoa, buckwheat or just steam some veggies.
and if you are craving something like chips.. go for raw(dehydrated) kale chips or raw crackers :)
eliminate all processed foods :) or at least always make sure to read the ingredients!
