30 Bananas a Day!

Hi! :)

I am just wondering if any of you have any experiences with using avocado pits in smoothies? 

This is only my third day as a raw till 4 vegan, so I don't really have a lot of experience with such things, hehe.

I haven't ever tried it but I imagine that would result in you having to buy another blender.

Who eats avocado seeds anyways?

I probably wouldn't try that with any blender, period!  If they put that display model in question up for sale, I would not buy it!!

If you think it cant be blended then why would you ever risk eating it? Thats crazy.

If you cant eat it without a blender, then i dont think its something thats meant to be eaten at all.  

Its actually very high in fiber but you need a good blender

I mean the way I see it...nature did not intend for the pip to be eaten if you can't eat it in its natural state, therefore not likely to be good for your health. Also more is not always better. And just because it is high in something good doesn't mean it doesn't have other negative properties.

A strong blender can atomize a cell phone and G I Joe action figures too, but I'll pass on drinkin' em!

Some tips:

1. Dry it out on a window sill for a few days

2. Smash it with a hammer so that it doesn't ruin your blender

3. Blend it in with a smoothie to avoid the bitter taste from the tannins

Never done it.  Doesn't sound appealing, but being high in soluble fiber...why not, I'll try anything once!
