I have just read the interview with Dr. G and DR and in it he mentions having had mild arthritis before going raw LFRV. I am wondering how long it took, and likewise with anyone else, how long it was before you noticed a change. Would you mind telling us DR ?
Oddly, I had no problems with arthritis before starting lfrv (nor when I was high fat raw before that) but in the 7 months since starting to eat this way the little fingers on both hands have become quite sore in the joints.
3 of my sisters and my mother have arthritis in their hands and are on strong medication (which I am obviously intending to avoid), so genetics may play a strong part.
I think that my body is doing the best it can and is probably dealing with stuff I am not even aware of, and will get around to the fingers in its own good time. (thats my theory at least:)
However, I am still working on my patience!!! so was wondering how long it was before others noticed changes.
(Luckily, I had not suffered any major illnesses/ailments before 811 but as a child I had lots of antibiotics for ear infections etc and years of being on the contraceptive pill - a waste of time and health since it transpired that I couldn't get pregnant.... oh if only I knew of 811 30 years ago). So with that and quite a few years of high stress levels, I'm thinking thats still quite a lot of stuff for my body to deal with!
What has been your experience?
Blessings to all you lovely people
bumping this thread for further discussion.
My arthritis is MUCH worse when eating HCRV. Anybody else experience this?
The past four I weeks I have stopped all tomatoes and peppers and things have improved a lot. (The first couple of weeks had no change, but a definite difference since then.
So, I guess it was simply that I had really upped my tomato and pepper intake when I went back to raw foods..... the deadly nightshade family really is deadly!!!
Your story is identical to mine even regarding your mother and sisters.
I went raw in July 2005 and started to suffer about 2 years later.
I controlled it with glucosamine and astaxanthin successfully but was determined to get off supplements. I tried several times but within a week the stiffness and pain in the fingers (all of them) would return so I would go back to the supplements.
I went low fat in Feb 2010 and tried to go supplement free shortly after and failed but in November I succeeded.
No pain no stiffness all perfect.
Point to note.
I also started to do the 5 Tibetan Rites about the same time as I went low fat and this is reputed to help arthritis.
