My sister (who is not a vegan) and I were having a discussion the other day and she said, "Do you know what I hate most about vegans? They are so high and mighty about saving animals but they are ALL pro-choice, which is so hypocritical." I told her I didn't think that was true. (Actually I know that for a fact, because I am pro-life.) But I want to find out in the lfrv community, so I am starting a poll.
IF YOU WANT TO DEBATE THIS, PLEASE START ANOTHER THREAD! I just want a judgement free zone, for people to post either PRO-LIFE, PRO-CHOICE, or UNDECIDED so I can get a count going. I know its not an accurate polling process but I am just curious since there are so many vegans on this site.
I am aware that many people on this site may be pro-life because they are more into natural living than other vegans who may just do it for animals and don't care as much about their health, but still, I want to get an idea.
If you don't feel comfortable posting your answer, then don't worry about it!
Again, I don't want to start a debate so please keep this post strictly informational, and we can debate it on some other thread!
Please post either
and if you feel like sharing your GENDER that would be great!
* One more note (added later) I am not talking necessarily talking about legislation, as many people don't think the government should be involved in those decisions, so maybe I chose the wrong words... I mean from the moral standpoint of whether you believe it is right or wrong.
Thanks a lot!!

we do a doohickey project workshop showing women how to do menstrual extraction so they can have free cheap safe and legal self abortions each and every month.
because seamen is a natural anti depressant for women (according to science and study) why not get all you can?
poly-talk meetings and cuddle puddles stimulate connection touch affection compassion and enjoyment also. helping to enhance peoples awareness of consent and empowering them to say no.
as Getrude from RAF said. "monogamy and heterosexuality are counter revolutionary!"
So I guess I officially stand as someone who rejects the idea that everything is right or wrong; that everything is 2D. That there's always a winning side and a losing side. Or even the idea that there's always a side that is "better, although not perfect." Even that is overly two dimensional.
So I think the question of "pro-choice or pro-life" is like saying, "Is the sun to the left of earth, or the right?"
There are no right or wrong decisions in life, only lessons along different paths ♥
PRO CHOICE, Female, mother.
Pro Life female
Everyone has a choice.
If you choose to keep life, great!
If you choose otherwise, great!
It's none of my nor anyone else's business what anyone else does with their lives.
Respect for each other ♥
For various reasons my family put a lot of pressure on my Mum to have me aborted when she was carrying me. I guess that makes me Pro Life:-) I have to add though, that I don't think there's a catch all answer to this that is right. There are some cases where an abortion is the kindest and best thing for the Mother and the baby. The real question is where do we draw the line? I'm not qualified to answer that!
Pro-Choice, I'm female.
Check out my page to see the results of this so far!
Pro Choice. Female.
Veganism and abortion have absolutely nothing in common. Your sister doesn't understand what it means to be vegan and why people have abortions.
Pro-Life, Vegan Female and proud of it.
This is a tough, complicated and deeply personal issue as well as being extremely politicized. I understand reasoning behind both points of view, however...
If he/she is HUMAN like his/her mommy, he/she has and deserves his/her Human Rights, s.a. Life
