I'm thinking about moving there in the future. How is the food quality? The cycling? Any vegan restaurants? ETC?, thanks
I live in vancouver, a couple of hours away, but I can definitely say in the summer time the food is amazing. Most of canada's fruit grows there. Peaches, nectarines, apricots, plums the list goes on and its super cheap there. I was thinking of moving there and did some research and there is a nice long cycling trail that heads south over some old bridges can't remember the name. No cycling in the winter, snowy and icy.
Kelowna is definetly a good choice for vegans. Best fruit in Canada you can get orchard direct ( peaches, apples, cherries, grape plums etc. as well as an awesome farmers market and little produce stands everywhere :) Theres also a few vegan restaurants ( naked cafe, lake tai, gratitude cafe, glow juicery) and lots of sushi, indian and thai places with vegan options. Cycling decent, since its a smaller city you can pretty much bike to everywhere you need to go which is awesome and theres lots of trails around.
