I have noticed that when I eat HCRV I have an increased amount of plaque on my teeth. I work in the dental field and I am not so much concerned about rampant decay or anything, but it is annoying to feel like I need to brush 70 times a day. I was wondering what other experiences people have had with their teeth while following this lifestyle.
My teeth are not super white but zero plaque, high oxygen foods remove plaque.
Do you eat starchy cook food?
I have fallen off the HCRV boat a few times since starting. Maybe I will wait until I have a good track record and see if that makes a difference. I just noticed it mainly today and I have been back on HCRV for the last two days.
I'd recommend ending your fruity meals with a stick of celery. It really cleans your teeth and mouth well.
I'm the opposite. I've always had a big problem with plaque. Now it's not 100% gone but it's much much better, even my doctor told me so.
Everyone here had good suggestions and I would like to add make sure your fruits are ripe. A greenish banana will leave your mouth feeling pasty while in contrast, a ripe banana, make sure yellow with brown spots, will leave the mouth feeling silky.
My mouth feels squeaky clean and teeth shine after eating about 1/2 head of lettuce greens.
Personally, I have been on this journey since about Nov of 2009, and my dentist tells me I have one of the cleanest and healthiest mouths she has seen.
I still seem to be having this problem but only on day seven so I will wait and see. Thank you for all the suggestions. I have been using the baking soda and that seems to make my teeth feel very smooth but they feel fuzzy to me a short time after even without eating anything. I could just be detoxing or something as my skin isn't looking that great at the moment either. I will try the celery and brushing more. For someone who works in the dental field I am pretty lazy about brushing and usually do it only twice a day.
