30 Bananas a Day!

A song titled "Be Healthy" . The artists are vegans and they certainly reflect that in their lyrics.

"I don't eat no meat, no dairy no sweets.

Only ripe vegetables fresh fruit and whole wheat

I'm from the old-school my house hold smell like soul-food brah

Curry falafu, Barbeque Tofu, No fish no no candy bars, no cigarettes

Only fresh squeezed juice from oranges, Exercising DAILY to stay healthy

And i rarely drink water out the tap cos' it's filthy"

If that's not smashing the stereotypical-prejudicial !@#$ that people think of rap then i don't know what is.

hahahahahahaha

I genuinely took that as a joke, because it was absolutely absurd hahahaha not to be offensive.

Yeah they've been on that from day one, they promote politically conscious music and speak on a wide range of topics from Veganism to capitalism to socialism and historical accuracies they're genuinely really intelligent blokes and yeah Stic.mans most recent album "The Workout" provided me with so much motivation to go and move my body it was amazing, he's due to release The Workout 2 sometime soon im sure, But yeah, don't judge artists by one song that got popular, There's much more behind the "hit"

hahahah im with ya on that one. Well i totally agree with you again, I mean the whole HipHop culture the main 5 elements was LITERALLY born out of Oppression in the Bronx. I mean beat-boxing was literally born out of the lack of money to buy instruments or radio play, or simple exclusion of black people. Public Enemy/Poor Righteous Teachers/KRS-One/BDP/ among many others promoted a more positive type of lyricism and art compared to what the record execs as you say wanted to push. It's not just about the money either, they only promote a particular image of black men in particular, America since it's inception has been heavily racist and it doesn't exclude blacks, Glad to see someone else who knows the know :)

Yeah man public enemy is still active!, Yeah i love Immortal Tech too, Saw him and KRS-One together in Manchester UK last year, so good. Brother Ali is another awesome one, Arrested Development, The Coup, Lowkey, Wise Intelligent list goes on man so much goodness out there.

Yeah that's more or less it in a nutshell

a lot of hip hop artists are vegan
