The only time I ever really struggle to eat completely raw is when I wake up at 6am everyday and have to go work outside on a building site roofing all day I struggle to eat half a watermelon etc. Feel a lot better when I do but sometimes have porridge with fruit. Any tips or recipes/best warming food?
Dates are good because they are carb/calorie dense, so I usually start the day off drinking a lot of water and eating 13-14 organic medjool dates. When you get cold, just get in motion for a bit and you will feel a little better as you get numb to it. I'm not going to lie, giving up coffee and tea has been hard here with winter approaching, but I usually always wear a beanie and hoodie inside to stay warm and I do fine.
Ill try the dates for sure might blend them with a bit of boiled water for breakfast for a try. Feel much better off a fruit breakfast than oats etc. Wish dates weren't so expensive here though.
HERBAL TEAS ? ! "SWEETENED with dates (blended..) A food/ beverage "thermos" 2 keep it warm...Cooked vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower,green string beans, potatoes....). You can mash potatoes up with vegetables and have yummy puree (adding curry, perhaps some freshly chopped aromatic herbs : parsley, cilantro...)
Herbal tea with dates sounds great. Better than my usual juices I bring. Merci
Are you blending banana smoothies? I just found a recipe for an approved "oatmeal" yesterday and I'm trying it in a few hours for breakfast.
Blend your bananas with less water than usual so that it congeals a bit when you're done. If you have a high-speed blender or won't kill a regular blender, let it blend until it warms up a bit, soup-style. Steam coming out of the top is overkill. :}
Pour into a bowl and top with diced apples and banana slices and whatever else makes you happy.
Diolch yn fawr. sounds good to me. I do banana smoothies but only in afternoon normally for whatever reason ill try it out for sure :)
Haha, I've been thinking about this oatmeal since I posted and my mouth is watering, lol. I was going to wait another 2 hours, but... *grin*
Hope you think it's yummy Joshua!
its 9:10pm here so Ill be having it for breakfast in roughly 8 and a half hours. Feeling banana hungry too now though :p
Sleep well. *grin*
I really like to have herbal tea with raw sugar or what I even like better (but has almost no calories) is my water in the morning (1l) boiled and with the juice of 2-3oranges and 1lemon. :-)
Sounds refreshing! could be a plan
I drink hot tea when it's cold outside. You can put it in a good thermos and bring it with you. Don't drink caffeinated tea because it's dehydrating. Or you can just boil purified water and put lemon or lime in it. Perhaps that can help after you eat your fruit. best of luck!
