Just got my blood results back and I am anemic.
Doctor is wanting me to take 325mg of Iron Sulfate 2 times a day on an empty stomach with OJ.
Should I do this? Anyone else have this issue and fixed it?
History: I have been vegetarian for 12 years, vegan about 1 year and 80/10/10 3 months.
Did your doc specify any particular type of anemia? or is it just an iron deficiency? Has anyone else in your family had anemia at all? Just curious because it could be relevant.

dont take iron sulfate
take blackstrap molasses 1tbsp in the morning mixed with hot water
and again at supper time
will fix u RIGHT UP
trust me.. doing this made me go from having problems running around the block to beijng able to run a 4 hr marathon if u lack iron oxygen cant get to your cells efficiently which wioll make u very weak + low energy and unable to make a hard fist even
half a cup of hot water.. like half a coffee cup of hot water + 1tbsp of the black gooey syrup and mix it in till it disolves + drink it.. also try to have some slieces of orange or orange juice before oor when u are taking it because the orange juice enhances your absorption of the iron
+ calcium + magnesium
seriously this is like my top health tip for anyone.. i never thought i could run for 4 hours..untill i did it.. after doing this for a few months
people get anemic from a lack of folate in their diet too.. u need to eat more oranges this is why they show a glass of orange juice next to fortified cereals in commercials .. the oj enhances absorption of iron google it ;) google "orange juice iron anemia molassses" and read for a bit

its a secret weapon for life im telling u. basically they make it from melting down these huge ass sugar plants for making refined sugar and all the minerals and good stuff ijn the plant ends up in this black syrupy goo that is the byproduct of making the refined sugar which is funny because the sugar is the bad for u part and all the good minerals + nutrients frm teh sugar cane plant end up in the syrup. dont eat it off the spoon like i used to its gross and its sticky as hell and its a bitch to clean up.. best way is to boil the kettle and use hot water.. do a shot of oj first and then take 1tbsp and melt it in the hotwater + down it with your vitamins i guarantee u will notice the difference when u try to exercise.. because every breath u take . more oxygen gets to your cells

seriously take it for a month and your athletic performance will double if not quadruple that is the effect it had for me im not joking at all! exercise became effortless for me i ran about 45km in about 4.2 hours one night a few years ago.. when it was a full moon at the end of summer.. blew my mind when i did really. i also cycled from toronto to montreal about 950km .. thru the country by myself
