This discussion is sort of a last resort and beacon of hope for my mother and the rest of my family. She has recently been experiencing severe abdominal discomfort so she went through several tests in search for the cause of this strange pain. After a CT scan and ultrasound, she found out that she has a massive gallstone. (about 4 cm wide: the size of a golf-ball) She also has a smaller kidney stone, but this does not seem to be the problem at the moment.
A description of her systems: constant bloating, cramping, heat, general discomfort, indigestion, diarrhea, and a general discomfort 24/7. She can barely eat anything because almost anything upsets her stomach. She has lost roughly 6 kilos within 2 weeks. This is obviously extremely unhealthy and very frighting. She is basically disappearing in front of my own eyes. :-(
My family is very holistic and we prefer to use oriental medicine or any alternative medicine that does not subject our delicate bodies to harmful substances or processes. With my knowledge I recommended that she reduce her fat intake to 80/10/10 standards and should start consuming many fruits and vegetables. She is currently eating a small amount of oatmeal, fruit, pasta, and bread everyday. (she is not a vegetarian or vegan, but refrains from eating meat and rarely consumes fish)
Her doctors recommend that she undergo surgery to remove the gallbladder. My family wishes to avoid this if at all possible. She is extremely frightened by the anesthesia that is involved due to previous experiences.
Well... this is where you lovely people come in. :-) I was wondering if anyone in this community has any advice or suggestions to offer that follow a more natural pathway. I hope I gave enough background information, if not just let me know. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this post! My mother and I greatly appreciate it!
Thank you so much for this link! It had some helpful tips, however, I'm not sure if the juice fast will work with her gallstone since it is the size of a golf-ball. I have a hard time imagining her flush out a stone of that size. :-)
I think it dissolves them so I think it's worth a try.
Thanks for all of these suggestions! My mother has some experience with Chinese herbs (teas), so I will definitely suggest those that you mentioned. Thanks again! :-)
these type of flushes are not supported on 30BaD, see here:
