30 Bananas a Day!

its been a wild and marvelous ride with the 80 10 10 train, ive been doing it for a year, and for a while it was the peak moment of my life. but lately i feel like there is something missing, i fall in sick very easily (not bed sick, but throat aches and the like) and i dont seem to have the same power i had before.

my diet consists basically in oranges in the mornings, mono bananas and dates in the afternoon, the ocasional pineapple/blueberry/kiwi every now and then, and then a huge salad at night.

calorie intake is ok, im getting lots of sun and exercise.

downpoints that i cant change:

not organic produce (impossible to get in this country)

sometimes i sleep a little late (2-3 am, im a social alien enough with the diet, argentinians live very late lives)

during the winter months i eat steamed tubers with the salad 3-4 times a week (this could be negotiable)

im thinking b12 deficiency because its the typical thing to think, but what else could it be?

How do you know your calorie intake is OK?

cause its over 2500 calories.

fat intake is under 10%. water input is about 3 liters. activity is moderate (focus on yoga, very light running, light weightlifting)

Okay there is your problem, 30BaD minimum for men is 3000, add more for activity.

Under eating causes low energy and low immune response, adrenals can keep you feeling great for  awhile but eventually it will run you down.

 

water output is what is important to keep track of, peeing 10+ times daily.

Bro, 3000 cals is a MINIMUM, if you want to THRIVE, you HAVE to eat more. 4-6k cals is ideal.

Also... Bloodtests?

Stress?

Going through a tough emotional phase?

How often are you sleeping a little late?

Are you doing B12 shots?


Environmental factors? We often overlook this one. Even if you eat the cleanest diet on the planet, if loads of pollution are going into your system every day, you're going to suffer the consequences sooner or later.

Going to bed at 2-3am? Not even Lance Armstrong on steroids would feel good doing that.

Why are you eating so well but destroying your health in other VITAL lifestyle facets Luciano?

Going to bed that late has to be one of the worst things for health. If I go to bed at 8-9pm consistently, my watts per kg on the bike is so good, local riders think Im doping.

i feel you, and i believe its the truth. I don't do it everyday thou, just 2-3 times a week.

due to this lifestyle ive become a social outcast in many ways, going to sleep at 12 or earlier would be the coup de grace on my social life. Not saying its not worth it, just observing the possible consequences.
