I work full time and I'd like a better idea of what people take to work that is easy to prepare and efficient? e.g. your typical work day menu plan!
I have been taking fruit only and getting in about two or three full pieces each break - but then coming home starving at the end of the day.
There is a fridge for storing at my workplaces, but other than that I don't want to be fussing about too much as my break times often get interrupted.
Any tips for what to pack for your 'typical office raw food recess and lunch' type meals would be great!
I do a job that is very emotionally exhausting so need good fuel for concentration and healing.
Bananas. Surround yourself with them. You don't need a fridge for them and they are easy to eat.
Any cut fruit in plastic container.
First of all I always make sure to have a large fruit meal, 1500-2000+ cals, before I go to college or work so that I don't have to worry about making time to cram food in on my breaks.
Bananas or Dates are what I take to work with me. I like my datorade to be a thick consistency so I easily fit a 1500cal deglet noir datorade into my handy 750ml smoothie blender (the blender jug also serves as an airtight smoothie flask). It takes 20 seconds to blend and off I go, datorade is also a great option if you only get a short 5 minute break because its possible to drink the 750ml in a short time. If not I'll put 2 bunches of bananas in my bag and even faster off I go.
Carb up, sleep up, play and stay hydrated for better concentration and digestion.
