30 Bananas a Day!

So, I've been experimenting for a while with rawness, and the 811 lifestyle also, and I have to say that I love it.  It is the way I am eating right now.  It makes sense to me in a lot of powerful, spiritual ways, and Dr. Graham's book countered a lot of my fears about sugar that had me experimenting with a low-glycemic raw diet recently (and not able to get up off the couch most of the time).

However, there is something that I wonder about, and that is advanced glycation end-products.  It seems that running on a diet of mostly all sugar would put you at quite a great risk for generating these little buggers.  Any body got an answer to this?

I've got a few, myself.  like, that if your fat/protein ratio is that low, you shouldn't have to worry about it, because the sugar will just flow through your system, and not be attaching to everything.  In fact, is it possible that AGEs are created BECAUSE of all that sugar just... sitting there?

Also considered the line from the Essene gospel of peace:  "If you cook your food, then so too shall it cook you," or somewhere thereabouts.  That makes sense, because I've read in books about longevity where they basically compared to "glycated" (if that's what you'd call it?) flesh looking basically as if it's cooked, and the cooked sugar would be way more sticky, and thus encourage those bonds to form.

What do you guys think about this?

I had to look up the definition of AGE, because I haven't heard of that before. My! How overly complicated we can make our nutrition, eh?

But, to the best of my understanding you are correct about low-fat, low-protein being key. EVERYTHING that your body uses as fuel has to be converted to simple sugars first, so there is no getting away from all that sugar in your body. That's the way our system is made. Problems arise when we interfere with the efficient transfer of that sugar into the cells. That is, eating excessively of fats, which inhibit the transfer.

The risk to generate thses endogenous AGEs is increased when you have high blood sugar levels, which is not the case when you're eating 811rv, cause - if I'm understanding Graham correctly - theres not enough fat in the blood stream that would prevent the sugar from just passing through it and into your cells, instead of accumulating and creating high blood sugar levels.
