30 Bananas a Day!

10 Days into HCRV 801010 diet and feel soo weak and out of energy

Hello all,

Me and my girl friend started HCRV 811rv diet 10 days ago. Went to woodstock fruit festival and continued the same diet. We both feel so weak and out of energy and wondering what to do. I have been eating papaya, mango for breakfast and couple of banana every 2 hours; smoothie for lunch and veggie salad and soup for dinner. Is this enough? I feel like we are not eating enough but there is only so much veggies we can eat in a day. We dont want to go back to the cooked meals.. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

We are trying to eat 10 veggies in our salad for dinner but cannot eat it as much as I like to. I thought that may be it was not enough vegetables, but after checking cronometer I saw that I was eating 1000 calories a day

Hence need to eat more

Cool, sounds like you've got to the bottom of it and it's an easy fix!

This sounds like you aren't eating enough calories to me also. The answer to that is MOAR fruit. Try larger fruit meals, a "couple of bananas every couple hours" isn't gonna cut it- I learned that the hard way. You must monitor your calories to make sure you are getting sufficient fuel- it is crucial if you want to stay on 811rv.

Also, it's only been 10 days, so your body could be adjusting to this way of eating. If you still feel this way after 50 days, something could be wrong.

Best of luck

Thanks, this helps!!

The most obvious reason for feeling weak and lacking in energy is not eating enough calories. It's a good idea to track your intake (even if you just do it very roughly) with something like cronometer.com just while you get a feel for how much you should be eating. Let us know how you go!

Thanks Richie.. will keep you posted..

you can use cronometer.com, or nutrition.self.com to see exactly how many calories you are getting- if you get at least 3000 you will not be tired.

and good combinations at meals will help get the most calories out of the foods you are eating. check out this very helpful video by a fellow 30bad member to understand more about combining http://www.30bananasaday.com/video/the-biggest-secret-in

yaaay lots of energy!!

Thanks Dylan, the link was helpful..

This helps. However, its soo hard for me eat more than 4 bananas in a row. i guess I have to work on it.

read the book 80 10 10, you will understand how much you actually need in one day and it also has examples of meals for every season... check it out!

Thanks for the help Mantika..

I was having the same issue until very recently, and yes it was insufficient calories. 3000+ cals is now my daily target, and since I'm too lazy to work out the calorie content of all my food, I decided to 'cheat' and eat 16 medium bananas (1600cals) and a 500g pack of dried dates (1400cals) each day. This way I'm sure to get to 3000 and with my melons, oranges, apples, salad etc this should take me well over. The only problem is not being used to eating that quantity of food haha!
