"I fear not the man that knows 10,000 kicks, but I fear the man that has practiced 1 kick 10,000 times."
The challenge is to see how long it takes you to do 10,000 pushups. They must be good form and you can rotate between different types, regular, hindu, handstand, spiderman, etc but your form must be good. The point is not to rush to 10,000 but to become 10,000 pushups stronger! To keep count you tally every set of 10 that you do throughout the day and tally every 1,000 too, I use a small chalk board. When you hit 10k the challenge becomes do it again but you must be faster!
I'm currently on day 29 and I'm on 2370. I want to do it in 100 days or less but I'm behind right now but I'm getting stronger so I expect I'll catch up and exceed the 100 average per day.
Log in with me! I know you guys can get some mean times down for this!
Yes mon, I'm down for this! It's great, normally I'm the guy offering zany challenges to my friends, hard to find any takers usually, now I get to be egged on!
I like that you stressed good form rather than half-assed or rushed style. I've found one way to get even more push-ups out of the day is to use a deck of cards. You gotta do the number on the card obviously, until you can't do anymore. Got to 228 last time, noodled me for the rest of the week though.
Gonna start today!
So I can basically do five at most for now. But I'm in! Sounds fun. :)
Pencil me in!!! ((starting today) Great Challenge!!!
--should we log in daily what we did?
@RYNO.....so with the deck of cards, lets say you pull a 9.....you do 9 sets of 9, FULL EXT...is that it??? Let me know. Thanks!!!
@KIM:::hooray...the ladies are down with this!!! That's wassup...building upper body strength!!!
The way I play it, is you flip over a card, a nine, and do nine pushups. Rest a minute, flip another card, an ace, do 14. Rest, repeat and repeat until you can't raise your arms above your head heheh.
I am totally in. =D Sounds like great fun.
Fascinating topic. I am terrible at pushups, and this could be the perfect thing to get me really into them!
Awesome replies guys, log in every day or so with how many you've done and any cool notes too!
The great thing is it doesn't matter how many you can do, start with what you can do and work from there!
Day 1: 40
Wanted to get to 50 but if I try to get in another 10 reps before bed I'll pay tomorrow. :P
It's settled then! A race between Jacob and I! (everyone else is still casual Sunday though).
Have at you good sir!
Casual Sunday hey. We'll see about that! heheh
well ive been sore a bit.....and i started late... today i will leave the pushups at 164....
then i will get back into my routine as the days pass!!!
