I applaud her for taking veganism into the  mainstream - it's more than any other celeb I can think of....? After my second crack at 100% vegan, I would say I would leave the gourmet/cooked stuff for special occasions - its actually easier on the mostly-mono HCRV in my opinion.

she's great. too bad she shills for a company that tests on animals. so how vegan is she really?

Ellen is really cool... and influential.... (hope hope)...

I have always been a big fan of Ellen's and this takes up a bunch of notches!  Whether she is cooked or raw, it doesn't matter to me.  :)

I am so overwhelmed with the sick population that truly need 811rv.

You did good.  Her diet is a baby step in the right direction.  Wait until Mc Donalds starts promoting veganism.  I'll clap aloud!

I am completely on the she page as you, organic ! not a doubt in my mind, just couldn't help but to share a video that brought a smile on my lips. synthesizing entertainment and ethics/health always works in my book.

but yes, it is most definitely still not optimal ! copy that

The problem with cooked starches is people cannot eat them un-doctored up.  I'm with Doug on this one.  No grains, no starches at all.  It is a more radical approach from SAD for sure, but one that is much healthier.

Yes, veganism is so much better than SAD.

Sannahavanna, you are so right.  And what I see so much of is that cooked vegans are high fat vegans, high starch vegans, and high salt users also.  My students come to me eating SAD and I go straight to transitioning to raw without stopping at this.

I was simply enjoying her spreading the word. first step: vegan, second step: raw vegan ;) thats how it happens in many cases anyhow.
