Ahh ok that does look Safe! I must say quatting on the normal toilet does require a degree of flexibility, I usually steady myself on the wall. Honestly I can't believe someone could fall off the toilet :(

No intent to hijack your thread, Free; I know that squatting was but a tiny portion of all the wisdom you shared.
Just wanted to give a bit more info for those who might be seeking.
As you may not have seen it, I thought about linking to the injury pic of when a toilet gave way to someone squatting on it, but it's just too gruesome. The truly curious can find it themselves.
I'm glad you haven't been injured yourself, but it takes just one flaw in the porcelain for disaster to strike.
Also, I read that:
Using a toilet in this way can dislodge the bolts that hold it to the floor. Once the seal between the toilet and the drainpipe is broken, toxic methane gas can leak into the house.
Fortunately, there are some options. Yeah, that platform is cool, but mad overpriced in my opinion.
It might (no guarantees) help to squat on the plastic seat instead of the porcelain ring. At least that way the forces are a bit more distributed as per normal load. We could even pad the entire seat underside with extra spacers to further distribute the weight around the edge.
We could right something overhead on which to hang, thus reducing weight.
And for my choice, just make your own version on the cheap:
This is similar to my set-up, except I've got nothing touching the bowl at all, just alongside.
Anyway, I'll now return you to your regularly scheduled flat-tum program :)
Hey Pinkvil :) I'm glad you are benefiting from my vids. I wouldn't just jump into jogging if you have an injury. I suggest cycling first or else - Do you go to the gym? You could use a rower or stepping machine.
Danielle - Yes totally for strengthening and muscle building - I recommend ashtanga yoga. Its awesome. For fat-burning though I recommend jogging/cycling/kick boxing/rowing. Exercises that really get the heart pumping. They are powerful in transformation.
Steph - YES! Please give it time! This is a lifestyle for life, not a diet for the summer. This needs to be embraced fully.

Shawna, I've seen that pic. Yikes! Toilets just aren't designed to withstand the pressure of standing on them.
BUT, that doesn't mean squatting is out of the picture. I'm a huge believer in it when done safely.
Personally, I've jury-rigged a system on mine where I put on food on a small chair on one side and a heavy bucket on the other. Works fine and absolutely improves elimination. Not that you have to purchase this device, but this is pretty much what you need to buy or create for it to work:
