I am finding it difficult to say goodbye to refined foods, I think once I have a better understand of the harm they do, I will be easier to let go of them, just like it was with dairy and meat.
Comment by Eddy Jones on July 29, 2012 at 2:30am I have been Vegan a few times before but have found myself reaching for dairy quite a lot, did not eat pasta or other refined carbs though-like table sugar, white flour found out these make you ill, since stopping eating these, I do not get colds, flu head-aches or anything that most people think is normal. A good book to read is The Saccharine Disease by T.L.Cleave (goes into depth about this). Recently found out about dairy and mucus forming foods plugging the Lymph system-so have cut this out completely, also bread but do eat a little whole-wheat pasta occasionally when low on fruit, I'm finding LFRV quite easy as I've done this before a few times since reading a book called The Path to Perfection in 2000AD, this was given to me by a Hare Krishna when I visited Australia.
Comment by Katy on July 28, 2012 at 11:24am its definitely better. I have non-organic fruits and veggies as well at the moment. Hundred times better than animals that been fed on lowest quality food all their life, and we are not meant to eat anyway, lol. I c on ur profile that u were brought up vegan, I think thats so great. Do u find LFRV challenging at all? :)
Comment by Eddy Jones on July 26, 2012 at 8:22am Hi Katy, yes this is just for me but may give some away to any-one who wants some. I will probably get some more nana's first as they are nearly all gone, but the rest will last a few more weeks, the pine-apples have mold on the outside but are only just ripe, most people would chuck them away thinking they were bad. I get this stuff of the market stalls- they buy in bulk so it's really cheap, unfortunately it's not organic but prefer this to meat and dairy.
