I had ones off the ground last year and they were great. I did eat the whole thing. I know of a couple spots in Santa Rosa to get them.

Mark I'm wearing a pair of running socks as I just got in from a run. Was wearing lightweight running shoes that night, but do plenty of runs in VFF Classics.

It seems like the skin is yummier when they've fallen from the tree and are nice and soft. I don't know many trees in SR, but the ones I did check at the JC weren't ripe yet.
