Very cool, John! I had been following your 'greens' vids and had no idea you were mostly raw until seeing you here on 30BAD.

The rascal in me wants to ask you what the other 0.001% of your diet is consists of?! That's a very precise calculation.  ;-)

Yes, I eat a 99.999% raw plant-based diet since 1995.  Find my raw food teachings at

Thanks, John. I look forward to that vid. Hey just wondering if you are raw vegan since you are on this site?

yes, you can make your own boogie brew. Just look up the individual ingredients and purchase them seperately. I will have a specific episode on this within the next few months.

John - is it possible to make my own Boogie brew tea? I can't order it where I live. I've been following your vids for a while - really awesome!!

I agree with your viewpoint on what the soil needs, but unfortunately, I don't want to support poultry operations.  It would be awesome to be growing in a true food forest where animals have habitat and are free to roam and enrich the soil.  I'm looking forward to your video on growing veganic.

I honor and respect people that want to grow food without the use of animal manures and other animal by-products.  I personally am fine with animal manures (including human manures) to enrich the garden. I do not agree with using bone or blood meals.  While one CAN grow veganically, it does make it more challenging, because nature is not "veganic"...  Animals are pooping all over the forest to enrich the soil. ..   Once again, I respect this, and will soon have an episode talking about veganic growing for those who are interested.

Zoom Organic fertilizer is produced from poultry manure, which is an animal product.  I honestly think its unnecessary when you are already using good quality compost and rock dust.  Happy Frog uses fossilized bat guano, which is also an animal product, but it is gathered from the leavings of wild animals who were probably not disturbed by the harvesting of their guano. It also uses worm castings, which are a grey area for me.  I think vermicomposting is pretty compassionate to the creatures and not exploitative, like poultry farming.  As an ethical vegan, I wouldn't want to use Zoom or most other organic fertilizers that are based on poultry manure.
