Hey, check out my treasure chest! Felt like we took a shopping trip! Well, we did go to the grocery stores at least...= )
I'm kinda camera and video shy and don't even know how to edit stuff...so here's me angling iMovie at the goodies and hoping for the best. Thanks for watching!

Comment by HolisticHealthDetective on April 5, 2012 at 11:18pm Well,
There are really 3 main stores we go to: Aldi's, Dominick's (local grocery chain) and Fruitful Yield (local health food store chain). The Dominick's is the store we alway find the largest abundance of organic produce, and sadly they are closing a bunch of stores in the area. I don't know if the ones we go to will be affected.
Apparently some 10 years back Dominick's fell under public disgrace and scrutiny when they got exposed for selling expired goods. So now they toss toss toss so as to not take any chances.
This week I have been exclusively dived produce (what you saw in the video) and---Jared would be proud of me here--mostly mono meals! Diving makes the opportunity of doing mono meals way easier because we frequently come across stuff like 50 apples or 35 oranges and we finally got tons of bananas--maybe 150 or so--from Aldi. I did banana island for a couple days just to whittle them down a bit! Overall I was so busy eating dived fruit that there wasn't honestly space in our kitchen to buy anything from the store. And that gorgeous papaya? It didn't stand a chance against the almighty forces...= )
Comment by Jared Six on April 5, 2012 at 7:34pm That's amazing! Why on Earth they throw all that away is beyond me.
