Comment by Windlord on June 26, 2012 at 5:04pm Even for those looking to release some pounds still need a proper amount of cals to operate well, especially if fitness is or becomes a priority. And for us this tends to be quite a bit more than most "weight loss" models promote because we're focused on overall health over the long haul, not just short term weight drop. I'd still recommend striving to progressively reach 3K daily. After you've stabilized at that baseline for a while, you can then reassess your ideal daily cal intake.
Comment by JarekN on June 26, 2012 at 4:49pm That is what I am confused about, based on Cronometer I should be getting about 1500-2000 cal a day if my goal is to lose some weight, but looking at the BananaGirl's vids she suggest over 3k for men. So I think that having more calories in your system will speed up your metabolism. Now I am not an expert, so can only try this... Is there a way to determine the required intake?
