That's so sweet. My dad was actually telling me this tonight (amidst my sobbing). He spoke of a race car driver who had a k9 best friend. After his friend died, a young orphan with the same sweet and playful heart came back into his life. There's obviously so much connection out there, and I can't imagine such a vibrant soul as my Peach (his name was Peaches) being gone forever. I'll be keeping watch.
write your letter suzanne - though i think your vibes have been getting through for some time.
let me tell you about our second child also my best friend (and a human too!):
if you don't go, you can't come back
when my son kyron was about 7, he and i were having a discussion concerning death. suddenly he said, "if you don't go, you can't come back."it was a surprising moment because we had never broached the subject of reincarnation before. then again, the young have left the source of wisdom more recently, so perhaps these things are still fresh in their minds and hearts.since we rescue animals, we are constantly having to say good-bye to those who go, but we find it interesting that repeatedly those who leave, seem to reappear within the personalities of those who haven't left.so keep watch, suzanne.
i don't think any being who is cherished ever goes too far away.
Thank you Prad, it means so much. I'm having the hardest time coping, especially away from home. The only thing I can think to do right now is write him a letter and send him good vibes; I feel like I have to explain everything to him. I want him to understand(even after life) how much I adored him even though I haven't been able to see him much over the past several months...
greetings suzanne! i'm glad you are here on 30bad!
i have experienced the feeling as our first child and my best friend flew away 22 yrs ago.
however, it is prudent to remember richard bach's words:
meeting again, after moments or lifetimes, is certain for those who are friends.
it shall always be so.
puissent assez ressortir,
en surmontant les grossières
nécessités qui d'abord les dominent.
