I just msg my landlord to ban barbequing in the back yard lol Its smells all the way into my aparment. :/

actually its not the smelling of meat. its the smelling of the ting dunno what its called but the fluid you put on to make it light fire that stinks. it burned mye eyes. also when they smoke it comes threw the window. disgusting.

She didn't say it smelled bad. I bet she enjoyed it. Typical barbeques use various spices, woods, and vegetables to make the smell quite enjoyable. I bet she was oddly drawn to the smell and didn't appreciate it because it doesn't help with her current diet requirements. I've been to places and have witnessed people and animals burnt to a crisp and believe me, it smells much different. You are right, burning flesh does smell bad.

although i share your opinion that burning flesh smells gross ... i have to comment on this because i disagree. you cant expect everyone around you in this society to change just because you have made a (very positive!) change ... you live in an apartment complex with other people, and you knew this was going to be the case before you moved in. most people in our society today eat meat so you cant expect people to cater to your vegan requests in absolutely every situation. this is kind of like going to work at a restaurant, (any restaurant other than a vegan restaurant) and refusing to handle meat (either preparing it if you are in the kitchen or serving it to people if you are a waitress).. i live in a home with two carnivores at the moment and sometimes i come home and the house smells like meat ... but i wont ever say one word about it because we share this home and agreed to do so upon moving in. its not like they are murdering humans in your backyard and you can hear the screams ... although many of us liken meat -eating to murder, most people do not see this as so. i would say if it is such a big problem for you, you should look into renting a house or move into a vegetarian/vegan community ... just my opinion
