Hey Chris, you're going to knock the socks of the other competition when they see how much durian you can eat!! As long as Harley isn't there, you'll sure win! ;) I wish I was able to get mangoes in India! But alas, it wasn't mango season when I went over there.

And I know what you're talking about when you say the natives are friendly! People were extremely kind when I was in India. They care so much about others. I find western (USA) relationships are so fractured and distant compared to a lot of the world, especially Asian countries. It seems we as a country value human contact so little compared to them. It's all about the material goods, money, getting "ahead" while hurting others in the process. It's a shame. I was talking with some Indians that have been to America and they seem to mostly agree with me.

It's making me want to travel even more now! So I'm looking into alternative ways to make an income. so I don't have to be a slave to the "system" and I can travel whenever I want. My dad can only take off 2 weeks max a year for his job and like 4 sick days. That can make it tough for travel.

Oh man you sound like you're in heaven right now :) You should take some pictures/videos. Will you be visiting chanthaburi? Apparently it's a really great place to go. Mango here is a dollar per mango, and they're soo small. You should ship over some of that good fruit!! Haha :)

Did you travel to Thailand alone? I know I wouldn't go alone, but I would go with someone else.  I definitely want to go in the future for sure!! and given my set plans, I could hopefully make it there in 2-3 years :).

I agree about the mindset issue, I've encountered a decent amount of people with that problem. Although, I've never had that issue, since every year we go on a vacation :) So I'm used to traveling. I've been to many places in the US. Out of country too.. mexico(twice), canada(twice) and the bahamas(three times). :) I LOVE traveling and I LOVE airplane rides. I always have.
