I just put up a vid up on youtube if you'd care to check it out - i'm working on a project with the aim to get into professional football (soccer) at the mo and I'm following 811...which is why I'm spamming you! (please like me)
look forward to any comments/support/advice/abuse etc you may have!
Hey ya, that's great to hear, so you 811 helped you recover? I have a friend who has suffered from anorexia for many years, and has had to spend quite some time in hospital, she seems to go through cycles of recovery and then goes into a bad patch again... I tried my best to get her to study 811 as she was recently admitted to hospital again, however she was reluctant, I think for the same reason as most people, in that they can't quite believe in the possibility that such a diet is what our bodies are designed to eat!
Any words of wisdom I could pass on to help her recover?
Cool, so you're a kicker! I've kind of learnt more counters for kicks and got a bit better at catching them than throwing them due to my own sidekicks sucking! I am determined to improve though. I also have a super dominant right side and I've always learnt things on the right first. I've switched this around now and always train the left first, even though it makes me look at bit inept sometimes :P. All in the name of progress ey.
I love forms too! I definitely prefer the more internal forms like ^Babulien (in contrast to the Tiger one). I get the most amazing feelings from them!
Which elements do you prefer out of your mix? I love locks and have bias towards hand speed. I definitely need to work on roundhouses and sidethrusts for sparring though. My hips are quite tight for those kicks at the mo.
My style is Tiger Crane combination style kungfu. It is very traditional and can get quite grueling, but it is very rewarding. I'm also learning a pure crane style called calling crane. This is the form I'm training in at the moment :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vyZAwiBRDzA
Yeah, it's going pretty well, kinda at a point where there is a lot I would like to refine before I learn more new stuff. Glad to hear your stress is sorted. What's your style like?
