hi jay, sorry about the delay in responding. i've been down on the Central Coast attending Grant's retreat, then into Sydney for the Vegan Expo. Are you in Byron now? Be Great to catch up and chat. I am about to go into a water fast. Have some healing to do. However if you are still around after i come out of the fast (don't know when that will be exactly, but definitely within the month) let's meet up. Where are you staying?
cheers,
~h

Hi Jay,
I normally hang around the market for ages while my kids play with a bunch of their mates and I hang out with mine, but last week I was only there for half an hour or so.
The person I was talking about is Bruce. He is always on the northern side of the market and at the furthest end from the guitarist. He has a large truck behind his stall and he sells mostly bananas plus a few other things.
I will try and remember to get his phone no. on Tuesday...will you be going along again next Tuesday?
I also have friends who have land at The Channon (have you been to The Channon markets yet? Its on this Sunday...get along to it if you can...a real nice vibe). My friend regularly takes on people (Wwoofers and others) to trade food and accommodation for work around their house and land. I will be seeing her on Sunday and will check if they are needing anyone at the moment.
Are you a WWOOFing member? When we were members in 2007, there were a couple of raw fooder Wwoofing hosts in the book.
hey jay the ray of sunshine!
my travels are excellent.
im having a really nice time meeting people, and people watching.
ive been staying mainly in cities but i traveled up the west coast for a while and did some trekking in the redwood forests which i thought was nice. i love louisiana too, the swamps are really beautiful. the fruit quality here isn't as good as at home, the papaya taste bizzaro . ive couch surfed everywhere so far and thats only made my experiences here better.
im so happy for you, i bet you are pretty eager to get right into now.
how did you go? and how did the weather hold up?
ive been reading intently at every possible chance.
making sure people on trains, trams, buses and in parks get a glimpse of the front cover.
(my efforts to spread the good stuff)
its the most interesting and exciting subject.
yeah!
when are you planning to end up in melbourne?
what are you talking about, im already revved up and i haven't even started the course!
i hope wherever you are you are enjoying yourself and eating the good stuff.
see you soon
love cand
hmm im not much of a dancer, or maybe just too shy.
tomorrow is good
my mind is blank for ideas though.
i can easily get to carlton
maybe a nice bike ride in the rain? ha. idk
hi jay! yes, i did think you were the girl on the right, okay its YOU i've been seeing around town! hehe damn you're moving to melbourne, damn for me, but great for you! :) awesome, thanks for emma's number, I will call her soon! ta! have a great time in melbourne! have you lived away from adelaide before? hope u have a great time! might catch you around the rest of australia sometime! :) enjoy!! xoxo
hi jay! love the photos of you and your friend. i keep seeing your friend around town! how are you? so you're raw and vegan as well? i'm vegan, and been 100% raw at the moment for around 6 days! always increasing my raw days! i run a raw food business and looking for a casual.. if you're interested to help out with stalls, let me know! :) paulina.
Yeah I am definently raising my son raw(he is still mostly breastfed), but I am finding it hard when he stays at my mum's or mother in laws as they don't understand (ahhh tearing my hair out).
Your transition has been really fast. It's amazing how your perception of the world changes when you go from vegetarian to vegan, not to mention raw, the world seemed like it was upside down to me!
Your friend sounds amazing, support definently would be helpful. My partner is vegetarian, but eats mainly out of cans and packets, so we are not quite on the same page as far as diet. When he sees me craving something he says 'don't be so hard on yourself, just have it', so I wouldn't really call that support. I have been a shocker lately anyways, but just have to keep at it.
Speak to ya soon ; )
Ema
BY the way, I have been getting really beautiful organic bannans from the wholesaler for $2 to $3 a kilo, so if you are interested let me know and I'll give ya a buzz when i next get a box.
Ahhh yes my fellow Adelaidian. Thanks for the lovely comment ; ). Would definently be great to catch up with you sometime, I don't know any other raw vegans or even vegans for that matter (other than my son), so would be great to have a chat! How are you going with your transition? I am still transitioning, getting there slowly but surely!
Peace xo
Glad you like the site :) I remember you & your friends, I sorta got roped into the talk but its good because I need the practise, Harls is the main performer!
See ya round SA soon
Lovefree
yeah that would be really cool actually
i dont have any friends here who are raw so it would be pretty nice to meet someone with that in common with me.
when are you moving here?
Hi, it sounds great being able to go raw, living on your own. This is still a new idea for me. I'm still researching the idea, as I have a family of 6 of us, and have had breast cancer. I also have hyperinsulinemia. Going raw is certainly outside the square for the vast majority. But hey, if it's your health, who cares what people say?
Cheers, Gay.
